Karen Walker - New Zealand’s girl
WOMEN’S FASHION - Karen Walker is a fashion brand with a reputation for its original, effortless and unpretentious style. Karen is from New Zealand, but shows each season as a part of New York Fashion Week.
Her collections are high casual with one foot in tailoring and the other in street wear. The re-occurring theme is taking extremes and pushing them together - masculine and feminine, tailored and street style, dark and super cute.
Karen Walker was awarded in 2007 with Prix de Marie Claire award for the best creative talent. Since 2002 she has been working closely with stylist Heathermary Jackson on all collections.
Karen Walker with her business mates recently opened The Department Store which was named as the best new retail destination in the world by British magazine Monocle.
